All Hallows Eve*

Happy Halloween!
Today is the day! I am so excited! It is literally the first Halloween I have celebrated since I was about 10... I'm pretty much pumped! I'm going to BYU's Hallapoluza and possibly to some Engineering Haunted House thing. Considering the Engineers at BYU are pretty much Geniuses (nicholas alan tanner) I think it might be borderline AWESOME! I'm going to be Little Bo Peep... it is going to be cold... but I'll tough it out :D

In other non-Halloween related news:

I got the first of my second set of Blocks today. I am so excited. It was wonderful to not be in pain yesterday! I was able to walk up stairs like normal people! Who ever imagined I would be amazed at such a simple thing... it's funny how perspectives change. My goal is to be able to walk up the stairs the night before my block, so that when I get my blocks, I'll be able to do things like hiking and biking and all the other outdoorsy stuff I used to love... minus running... that one might take a bit longer :D
The needle gets inserted into my the one labelled 3 I believe... i think that's what they were saying in the OR... They put music on my ears, so I couldn't hear as well... apparently i'm supposed to freak out or something... they don't know me very well :D

Well, Have a wonderful Halloween... I am going to go home today and celebrate my Big Bro's birthday :D... I can't wait!

*Forgive the Lack of Creativity in the Post title, I'm pretty sure that I could come up with something better, but i'm supposed to be doing Chemistry Homework right now...

This Thing, Called Life

Here I am. A month and a half into school and not a single blog post. What kind of Blogger am I? :D So, I'll give you the cliff note version of my life.

Roommates:
These are my roommates! I love them to death! We have had so much fun at college-- talking, laughing, playing-- anything but homework :D. I don't think I could have asked for better people to live this first year with!

Classes:

I like this cartoon, it kind of puts everything in perspective for me, but it doesn't stop me from being stressed out. Classes are amazing, though it's a lot of hard work, I think that I'm prepared to do semi-decent. I still have all A's and A-... btw... coming from GA, this whole A- thing is really throwing me for a loop... Heaven Help me!
As for my major, BYU doesn't allow Double Majors... well, they allow them, it's just that they can't figure out how a music education degree and a nursing degree will ever help me in my life... so I have to choose one. I think I'm choosing nursing, though, any who know me also understand that this could change at the drop of a hat.

College Life:

I love love love love college! I am having so much fun! The people are fantastic, my friends are amazing and The spirit of campus is undeniable! I'm really glad I decided to apply, I know this is where i'm supposed to be, and whether or not I make it into the nursing program, I'm going to finish up all four of my years here.

I don't think there is much else... just that i love college!

Army Bases and Counting Spaces

Hello!

It has now been a few weeks since I have left Georgia. Though I miss all the people there, I can't say I regret not living in that awful Georgia Humidity. Today, I caught myself before I mentioned that it felt a little muggy outside... to anyone in the big G.A... Muggy here is like Dry there!

I think I have finally completed school shopping-- except for books. It seems like everytime I go to the BYU Bookstore, half the books I need still haven't come in, and the other half, the teachers haven't bothered to let us know even their names! However, on the bright side, it means I only feel the need to study for Music Civ class!

Another bright side... I GOT A NEW PRINTER TODAY!!! ya... its pretty awesome... it prints pretty awesome pictures and scans and connects wirelessly and prints normally (duh!) and I pretty much love it! I can't wait to print my first paper off on it... i know that sounds lame... but I am one of the freaks who actually likes school!... I know... wierd!

Well, that is my news spurt... I would be apologetic for not having a more interesting life... but no one reads this anyway :D

Farewell Georgia!

So, as I have left the land of Peaches (but keep in mind I only eat peaches from Cali) I have decided to make a list (shocker) of my Top 10 Georgia Memories:

10.) Living in the World of Coke-- Everything is cuter in Red! I'm gonna miss the classic style of Coca-cola in Pepsi Country... and the amazing tast of my favorite beverage... SPRITE!!!!

http://www.britmericalane.com/images/_products/iwds/d1299.jpg
9.) Fall-- I have never seen a prettier place than the North GA "Mountains" in the Fall, So many Colors, So little time!
8.) Stilesboro Biscuit-- I left before I had a chance for one final visit to the wonderful breakfast joint I will always love, but if ever I come back, you can be assured that I will "Park my Biscuit" there!
7.) Harrison High School-- Yes, this one does make my list, and no, I am not insane. I considered myself an honorary Hoya from the time I moved here until I became a real one. Yes, They have cased me a few problems (Lei at Graduation, anyone?) but I will always love that school and all the wonderful people I knew there!
6.) The fact that It is interesting to be Mormon-- What will I be known by when I'm surrounded by the same :D. Trust me guys, calling "Mormon!" in Utah to get my attention will not get you anywhere :)
5.) Southern Accents-- Since my personal southern accent sounds horiible, I will miss those Southern Belles and Gentlemen that give me that Southern Fix. Also in this category-- needing translations for words that I thought I already knew, "Mas the button","buggy" and "fixin'" rank among my favorites :D
4.) Warm Lakes-- Bear Lake in Utah is one of the coldest things I have ever been in. Imagine jumping into a DQ Blizzard! When I go to the lake-- in my wetsuit-- i will miss that warm Allatoona that I have always loved, but never been able to spell
3.) Knowing how to pronounce the roads—yes, it Utah we actually use normal names for roads. Also in this category, Having three different names for the one road that I took to Church!
2.) Fourth of July at Powder Springs. As one of my most authentic Southern experiences, I don’t know what I am going to do when, at the next Fourth, no one says ma’am and ya’ll! Also in this Category—the funnel cakes I eat at that same Fourth of July! Oh, and the Peachtree Road race I do that morning!
1.)All of the wonderful people I’ve known. You have all truly changed my life and made me a better person. Thank you for that! I will miss you dearly, but please remember, You will ALWAYS be in my Heart! <3

Testing... 123

I've caught the bug!
I am a blogger, hear me ROAR! (or type, it's all relatively the same)

This Blog will follow me through my college years. I will update you on all of the ups and downs of college life instead of finishing my homework. I am a master procraster :D. (I know it's not a word... but it Rhymes.)

So, I guess I must explain why I am finally doing this. You see, I have this sister who is addicted to blogging. Her form of Rationale, "Well, at least I'm journaling". So, if anyone asks, yes, I am merely journaling. I'm not trying to waste time, just trying to follow the counsel of those prophets I love and revere.

Let's get a few things straight:
1.) I can't spell, and spell check only does so much. Feel free to make fun of me, who knows, I might legitley not be able to spell the word :D
2.) I love color. Obviously. But be not afraid, they sometimes match.
3.) I don't have a three, it just seemed appropriate.

Well, I love you all dearly! I hope you enjoy living college life Vicariously!
Welcome on the Adventure!
